The new summer season at the Rosa Khutor resort officially starts on April 29. This year it will be held under the motto “The mountains are reflected in you,” symbolizing the breathtaking beauty of summer mountains, the possibility of unity with nature and energetic reset.
The resort offers a variety of activities for an exciting holiday in the mountains
Guests will be offered a varied program of full recreation, with the widest range of activities for adults and children. The development of nature tourism in the mountains will continue to be a priority. This summer season the network of hiking trails will reach 110 km (there were 100 km in 2021). The Nakhazo camping site located on the southern slope of Aibga ridge will be opened for tourists for the first time. There is a new walking and exploring route with the same name and which is 7 km long (one way), 420 m altitude difference, 3 hours long (one way). Nahazo is a modern tourist facility of high comfort with 12 lodges, outdoors equipment rental and the possibility of special group programs such as mountain team building, yoga, stargazing and hiking skills in the mountains.
This summer season, the resort together with the Sochi National Park will offer 13 hiking routes of varying degrees of difficulty, including a visit to the unique Mendelikha Waterfall Park, where the highest waterfall in the Sochi mountains, Golden (77 meters) is located. Due to the record snowy winter, all 7 waterfalls of the park are expected to be especially full and picturesque.
“Today, we see a growing interest in alternative types of recreation, primarily those that allow city dwellers to immerse themselves in the “wild” nature and recharge with its beauty and energy. We are ready to provide our guests with the whole set of such fascinating, safe and comfortable trips to the mountains of different duration, complexity, level of training, etc. We will continue to promote the culture of summer recreation in the mountains and develop the necessary infrastructure for this,” says Rosa Khutor Resort’ CEO Alexander Belokobylsky.
Information about hiking routes is available at the Rosa Khutor Active Recreation Center, and some of them require a compulsory accompaniment by an experienced guide. Moreover, guests of the resort will be able to go not only to mountain hiking, but also to take various bicycle tours around its surroundings. Fans of cognitive and gastronomic tourism will be interested in visiting the Shishin Dvor ethno-hut, on a picturesque slope of the Aibga Ridge. It is a reconstruction of a typical farmstead of a Russian migrant farmstead. There is a goat farm, a poultry house, an apiary, a cheese factory, and guests are offered tea or lunch of fresh farm products. There are popular with tourists Husky Hutor and Deer Farm not far away.
Family rope Yety Park will be functioning on Rosa Khutor. Its routes are divided into zones and are interesting both for the youngest visitors, and adults: obstacles at a height of 22 meters will allow nobody to stay indifferent.
Children's Mountain Academy will open its doors again, where young guests will be able to learn a lot of practical skills of survival in the forest in the form of a game. They will learn how to set up a tent, knot tying, and render first aid. The resort offers a unique ornithological workshop “Secret life of birds”, aimed at acquaintance with the world of birds inhabiting Rosa Khutor.
There are 256 species of birds in and around the resort, about 100 of which are nesting and over 140 of which are migrating through the mountains of the Western Caucasus, which makes this region extremely interesting for birdwatching. Popular activities for kids include the Prank Corporation in Rosa Valley and the Riders Kids Club in the Mountain Olympic Village. For the first time this summer season, the resort plans to hold Khutorenok children's sports competitions in three disciplines: dry slalom, races on runbikes and on scooters.
For beach lovers Rosa Khutor offers not only the Rosa Beach area in Rosa Valley, where tourists can take a breeze ride on the Eagle's Flight trolley (240 meters long), but also SunShine Park in the Mountain Olympic Village with an outdoor pool, sunbathing area, sauna and gastro-bar on a panoramic viewing platform. For those who prefer sea bathing there will be regular shuttles to the equipped beach of the resort in the Imeretinskaya Valley. Rosa Khutor sea beach has been awarded the Blue Flag for several years in a row. This is a special award from the International Federation for Environmental Education (FEE), which can only be won if strict water quality, cleanliness and safety standards are met.
Popular year-round attractions, suspension bridges, high-mountain swings at Rosa Peak and rodelban in the Mountain Olympic Village, will also continue to operate in the summer season. Interesting to visit at any time of the year is the My Russia ethnographic complex, where you can get acquainted with the cultural and architectural diversity of our country. On the area of 3.3 ha on the bank of the river Mzymta, there are 11 pavilions stylized as separate cities and regions of Russia, most of them with thematic expositions of their history and traditions.
Throughout the summer season, the Rosa Hall concert hall will be open, where popular artists and groups are expected to perform.

As always we will make every effort to ensure that our guests get the most positive experience and the health-improving effect of recreation among the mountain peaks,” said Alexander Belokobylsky.
Rosa Khutor is a year-round world-class mountain resort, the largest Olympic facility of the XXII Olympic and XI Paralympic Winter Games 2014 in Sochi, situated an hour drive from the international airport Adler. In winter, there are 105 km of ski slopes and 32 elevators.
