The Russian auto giant AutoVAZ will suspend operations at all three vehicle production lines of its Togliatti plant from August 23. This decision was taken due to problems with the supply of electronic components from Bosch.
AutoVAZ representatives told RBC that the three car production lines would idle for at least a week. Three of the five days of downtime will be declared holiday days, rescheduled from December, and the remaining two working days will be paid for at 2/3 of the average rate.
However, the Lada Izhevsk plant, where the Lada Vesta model is assembled, will continue to operate as usual.
