Rosa Khutor is Improving Corporate Governance Arrangements

Rosa Khutor Mountain Resort continues to improve its corporate management system to increase the efficiency of administration of current processes and provide new opportunities for further development.

Thus, First Deputy General Director Evgeny Makarov will supervise not only hotel, restaurant and trade business of the resort, but also marketing, sales and active tourism and MICE direction. In addition, a new position of deputy CEO for marketing and sales was introduced, to which Rushan Sabirov was appointed.

“Such changes in our management system are connected with the desire to form a single strategic vision and offer guests of the resort complex solutions that would take into account their preferences as much as possible,” said Yevgeny Makarov, First Deputy CEO of Rosa Khutor Resort. “We will continue to work on the development of infrastructure, customer service, entertainment and active mountain tourism. Our main task now is to provide guests with the highest quality and safest recreation.”

The focus of our attention is on the development of digital tools, personalization of marketing communications and service, as well as a new approach to the customer experience.”

Yevgeny Makarov, a graduate of the Higher School of Economics, is well known in the professional community as an experienced manager who has successfully implemented various levels of commercial projects in the hotel business and the ski industry. He has been working at Rosa Khutor since 2009. In 2019, he was appointed First Deputy CEO for Development of Rosa Khutor Mountain Resort. In addition, he graduated from the Skolkovo Moscow School of Management with an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) diploma. He has received two governmental awards for his major contribution to the preparations and staging of the XXII Olympic Winter Games and XI Paralympic Winter Games 2014 in Sochi: a medal for Merit to the Fatherland, 2nd Class, and a commemorative medal of the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation.

Rushan Sabirov, a graduate of the Moscow State University of Printing Arts n.a. I. Fyodorov, has been managing marketing and sales projects for more than 10 years, of which more than 7 years he is engaged in the development and promotion of tourist facilities. Myria Resort & Spa in Yalta, which was the first Russian hotel to be named the best hotel in the world according to the World Travel Awards in several nominations at once, was one of the implemented projects. He managed the sales and marketing of the Altay Village Teletskoe premium resort in the Altai Mountains. Before joining Rosa Khutor, he was Operations Director of the Federal Tax Service resort chain, where he was responsible for managing operations and introducing uniform quality standards and customer service.

Rosa Khutor is the largest mountain resort in Russia, a world class tourist facility and an example of effective heritage of the XXII Olympic and XI Paralympic Winter Games 2014 in Sochi. In winter, there are 105 km of ski tracks and 32 elevators at your disposal. In summer, there is a big demand for hiking and biking trails along the picturesque mountain slopes.
