FacePay service users in Moscow’s subway complained about multiple billings

The News of Moscow Telegram channel reported that money continued to be deducted from passengers’ bank accounts even after the disconnection of the system.
VTB Bank confirmed the information about multiple billings in the subway. According to the bank’s representatives, it happened due to a technical failure in the authorization system. The bank promised to return the money to clients and present them with souvenirs as compensation.
Earlier, member of the Human Rights Council Igor Ashmanov said that one of the users of the Face Pay system had received a fine for mask mandate violation. The subway administration denied this information.
