“The money will be taken from future pensioners and transferred to the Pension Fund to increase current pensions,” says the caption to one of the posts of NZD, the magazine of political satire.

The latest initiative of the Ministry of Finance to confiscate the savings of the Russian residents, the legality of which has not been proven, has triggered heated discussions in the expert community and social media. Many people worry that, as a result of a rather vague wording, most of the savings of the Russians who have accumulated money working on off-the-books part-time jobs or freelancing might be at risk.

The NZD magazine of political satire also drawn attention to this situation and published a corresponding caricature on Instagram. The post depicts how the hands of the Finance Ministry are trying to take away the savings of the Russians in favor of the Pension Fund.

“The money will be taken from future pensioners and transferred to the Pension Fund to increase current pensions,” says the caption to one of the posts of NZD, the magazine of political satire.

It is worth noting that this is the debut publication of the media outlet covering the actions of the Russian government.
