Vladimir Rogov, a member of the Main Council of the Civil-Military Administration of the Zaporizhzhya Region, said that the region he was entrusted with would be a part of the Russian Federation.

The Zaporizhzhia region will become part of the Russian Federation as a full-fledged Russian region.

“These places have been an advanced part of the Russian Empire for hundreds of years,” said Rogov, “and the process of the region's incorporation into the Russian Federation will begin after the capture of the city of Zaporozhye, which will soon be liberated.”

According to him, the Ukranazis understand that they will not be able to stay there under the onslaught of the Russian Armed Forces. That is why they are already “hastily withdrawing” their families and assets while the Russian military controls two-thirds of the region.

Besides, Rogov believes that the population of Zaporizhzhya region is “absolutely Russian” by mentality, so it will take “only a few months” for them to fully adapt. According to his information, more and more residents of this region are in favor of “active rapprochement with Russia.”

Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, who visited Melitopol in Zaporizhzhya region a week ago, said that he visited these places primarily to assist precisely in the “process of rapprochement” between Zaporizhzhya and Russia. It should be reminded that there is already a dual-currency zone in the region with the use of ruble and hryvnia. Moreover, in the near future, Zaporizhzhya residents will begin to receive payments and benefits in Russian currency, which should certainly revive the stagnant economy.

Khusnullin also underlined that the Zaporizhzhya region has “the potential for the production of building materials,” which could be very useful for the “reconstruction of destroyed villages and cities.” By the way, he spoke about the potential of the Kherson Region in a similar way, which is already under full control of the Russian Armed Forces. At the same time, the Deputy Prime Minister said that Kherson has a great prospect and a worthy place in “our friendly Russian family.”

For his part, Kirill Stremousov, the deputy head of the military and civil administration of Kherson Region, said that the regional authorities intend to ask Russian President Vladimir Putin to approve the request for the region to become part of Russia. Stremousov stressed that full-fledged ties with Russia have already been established, in particular, the transition to the Russian currency continues, an International Settlement Bank has been opened, etc.

Andrei Turchak, Secretary of United Russia's general council, also recently visited the liberated Kherson region, saying that “Russia is here forever,” but that the status of this region should be determined by its residents. However, the Kremlin made it clear that this question should be studied first by lawyers, while the decision to join Russia, as Turchak stressed, should be made by the region's residents.

Dmitry Muradov, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Crimea to the Russian President, believes that the southern regions of Ukraine that are already occupied by Russian troops will become part of Russia “by the will of the people themselves.” According to him, people have been subjected to repression and bullying for the past eight years in the “gifted to Ukraine territories,” faced violations of the rights of Russians, and the state cannot exist in this form. “So, this is already the former Ukraine,” Muradov said in conclusion.

As a reminder, the Russian army, together with the DPR and LPR corps, is currently continuing to liberate Donbass and Ukrainian territory. Thus, there are battles in Donetsk and Kharkov regions, as well as in many other directions. Even Ukrainian sources report that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were forced to “abandon their positions” and withdraw their artillery from Severodonetsk, as they could be hit from the eastern direction due to a "defense breach in Popasna.

The destruction of not only military facilities on Ukrainian territory, but also of weapons supplied to Ukraine by the collective West continues. For example, today, the Russian military struck some enterprises in Zaporizhzhya with four high-precision cruise missiles, followed by explosions at the Motor Sich and Ivchenko Progress plants, which produced AI-450 aircraft engines for Turkish Bayraktar drones. Missiles were launched from the Belgorod region at strategically important facilities of the AFU near Kharkov.

The special military operation is continuing and is proceeding as planned. Russian troops are advancing slowly but surely, gradually freeing regions of Ukraine from nationalists.

A total of 178 aircraft, 125 helicopters, 995 unmanned aerial vehicles, 320 surface-to-air missile systems (SAMs), 3,243 tanks and other armored vehicles, 425 multiple rocket launchers, 1,658 field artillery guns and mortars, and 3,124 pieces of special military vehicles have been destroyed since the start of the Russian military special operation in Ukraine.

Meanwhile, on May 25, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree that will significantly simplify the procedure for obtaining Russian citizenship for residents of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions of Ukraine. The head of state amended Decree No. 183 of April 20, 2019 “On the definition for humanitarian purposes of categories of persons entitled to apply for Russian citizenship in a simplified procedure.”

According to this document, now the citizens of Ukraine, the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) or the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR), permanently residing on the territory of the DPR, the LPR, the Zaporozhye region of Ukraine or the Kherson region of Ukraine, have the right to apply for citizenship of Russia in a simplified procedure in accordance with part 8 of article 14 of the Federal Law of May 31, 2002 № 62 “On citizenship of the Russian Federation.”
