Rosa Khutor Announces Opening Date of new Winter Season

The new winter season at the Rosa Khutor resort is scheduled to open on December 23 but the exact date will depend on the current weather conditions, first of all, availability of a stable snow cover.

The resort will offer the guests high-quality ski infrastructure and the largest skiing area in Russia – 105 kilometers of slopes, which are served by 32 modern ski elevators. A total of 52 slopes of all levels of complexity, two snow parks, educational slopes and so on will be prepared for fans of skiing and snowboarding. At the same time, the resort continues to improve the quality of the slopes. In the new season, there will be extended some sections of ski tracks on the northern slope of Aibga ridge: Horizon (above 1,600 meters above sea level), the intersection of Maze and Triton (below 1,600 m.a.s.l.), Triton (below 1,600) and Cascade (below 1600).

In the coming season, guests of Rosa Khutor will be able to use services of the resort's ski school. Instructors, certified by the National League, will conduct group or individual lessons for different level of training, including beginners. Children's skiing camps and the Egorka club will be functioning all winter season. Young riders have their lessons on a separate slope under supervision of the experienced certified instructors. Beginning from January 7, every Saturday there will be competitions in alpine skiing and snowboarding for children from 7 to 14 years old. The Pranks Corporation and Riders entertainment clubs will also keep working for little guests of the resort.

Conveniently, all skiing equipment for children and adults can be rented at Rosa Khutor. Additional sets of equipment have been purchased so rental outlets of the resort will get new equipment. Rentals in the Mountain Shelter will also be fully renovated.

Sales of season and multi-day ski passes for the new winter season started on August 1. The discount policy is transparent at the moment – the earlier a skipass is bought, the better the price is. For example, if the full price for an adult season ski pass is 59,800 rubles ($973.48), in October, it is still available at a discount of 15%, and in November the discount is 10%. A similar discount system is arranged for multi-day ski-passes (from 3 days). The price for a day of skiing this winter season will depend on the holiday season and month of skiing and range from 3,750 ($61.05) to 4,750 rubles ($77.33) for adults and from 1,900 ($30.93) to 2,400 ($39.07) rubles for children (7 to 14 years).

On the threshold of the new winter season Rosa Khutor is renovating not only the ski infrastructure, but also the hotel infrastructure. For example, the interiors of the sought-after Azimut Valset apartments will be renovated, so accommodation will be even more comfortable this winter. In the winter season, Rosa Khutor resort will offer not only a variety of opportunities for active recreation on the mountain slopes, but also fascinating activities for après-ski. For lovers of food tourism the resort offers dozens of restaurants and cafes of different concepts and price segments, from coffee houses to establishments with haute cuisine. It is worth noting the new restaurant Dich in the Mountain Olympic Village, which is planned to hold special dinners performed by Michellin Guide star chefs.

Such year-round attractions as the alpine coaster, now equipped with bright illumination, tubing, high-mountain swings and bridges, including one made of glass, will continue to operate. The holidaymakers will also be able to ride toboggan sleds and dog sleds. From December 1, a family skating rink will start operating in the resort's Ice Palace.

During the season, the resort is expected to host several major sporting and musical events. The schedule of the festivals will be announced additionally.
