ZooFriend Delivers Second Truck of aid to Luhansk

“Russia is again lending us a helping hand, providing assistance not only to the residents of Donbass, but also to animals,” said Alexei Karyakin, chairman of the Public Chamber of the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR.)

This time the help was distributed among four horse-sports clubs, two animal shelters, the Luhansk Nature Reserve and 45 shelters and individual animal defenders, who take care of more than 1,200 dogs and 2,000 cats. A shipment of food was also given to the Four Paws Shelter in Donetsk, whose head Iryna Volik takes care of 500 animals.

The Happy Together Shelters from Luhansk and the Home of Kindness from Alchevsk also took part in the distribution of aid to the LPR. Most of the money to buy aid for the LPR was raised thanks to the Giving Hope International Charity Fund for Animals.

It should be reminded that ZooFriend first delivered aid to the LPR in May. Since the start of the national campaign ZooFriend sent 8 trucks. The aid for a weight of over 150 tons was delivered to the DPR, LPR, Kherson, Melitopol and Mariupol. The total amount of funds raised and allocated for the ZooFriend campaign amounted to more than 16 million rubles ($264,912.)
